When should I stop exercising?

Watch out for these signs of when to stop exercising:

  • Nausea / Feeling sick to the stomach

  • Excessive tiredness

  • Dizziness or feeling light-headed

  • Excessive shortness of breath

  • Blurry vision

  • Irregular or very fast heart beats

  • Any chest pain, including pressure, tightness and heaviness in your chest, neck, jaw, or arm

  • Severe leg cramps


Stop if you feel any of these symptoms and inform your doctor that this is happening


However, if you experience the symptoms below call 000 immediately.

  • Loss of consciousness

  • Severe chest pain, pressure or tightness

  • Severe chest pain spreading to your neck, jaw or back

  • Loss of vision

  • Weakness in one side of your body or face

  • Severe headache

  • Confusion

  • Loss of vision

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Slurred speech or difficulty speaking
